Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated lab manager to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including housekeeping, ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. In addition to these managerial tasks, the lab manager will also be involved in hands-on laboratory work, particularly in immunology research. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in laboratory management and immunology who is looking to contribute to innovative scientific research.

Key Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Manager will work with the team to facilitate the development of new protocols and efficient lab processes to ensure timely, high-quality results. Key responsibilities include:

• On-boarding and training for new employees.
• Lab management tasks such as adhering to all health & safety regulations, managing and maintaining inventory, order supplies, reagents and equipment.
• Write and revise laboratory SOPs, then maintain lab records in compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to facilitate orders and ensure timely delivery.

Moreover, the Laboratory Manager could be asked to:

• Coordinate the use of animal models with animal care technicians and CROs, ensuring proper handling of biological samples provided by CRO and performing analysis in line with project goals.

• Conduct hands-on laboratory work in immunology-related research, including preparing samples, and performing assays. The Laboratory Manager may also be asked to analyse results and support data presentation to senior management or regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology in Immunology, or a related field.
• Experience with laboratory inventory systems, ordering, and supply chain management.
• Hands-on experience with immunology laboratory techniques such as cell culture, T cell expansion, flow cytometry, Elispot assays, etc would be preferable
• Experience with in vivo models and related experimental protocols.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with laboratory staff, vendors, and external partners.
